The Unit was established since the inception of he Hospital on 2nd May,1980 .  The Corporate Affairs Unit of UITH is responsible for Information and Publication of hospital activities.  It is also responsible to the Management and the Board for the image-making of the Hospital by relating with Press, production of Newsletters on Hospital activities and UITH Calendar of events, production of Annual Reports placing of advertisements, seeing to Hospital guests welfare generally and administrative duties.

The Unit performs liaison duties and it is responsible for public complaints, protocols as well as welfare of the Board members.

The Unit coordinates and monitor all the Hospital and other related health care programmes and interacts with the public when necessary.  The Unit is responsible for anchoring of Hospital programmes such as Workshops and Seminars and it is under the Chief Medical Director.

The Corporate Affairs Unit is headed by a Chief Administrative Officer, Alh. Oba Hassan Kadir who is a Public Relation Professional.
