Professor A.W.O. Olatinwo was born over four decades ago in
Offa, Nigeria. He attended Offa Grammar School Offa, Nigeria
form 1973-1978 after which he proceeded to University of
Maiduguri, Maiduguri, Nigeria where he obtained MB, BS in 1985.
He obtained MBA in 1992 and became a Fellow of the West African
College of Surgeons (FWACS) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in
1995. He is a member and Fellow of many professional
organizations including International Institute of Management,
Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Nigeria and the
International College of Surgeons. He has served on various
committees and held positions in some professional organizations
including Kwara State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association
and Medical and Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria. He was
a member of the steering committee of the Kwara State Health
summit in 2004.
He is currently the Chief Medical Director of University of
Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin. He is married with three
children.
