The Board and Tenders unit is under the Directorate of Administration in the Department of Administration of the Hospital. The Unit is as old as the Hospital.

The following are the objectives and the Services rendered by the unit.

·     Coordinating the activities of the Management Board.

  • Relate with other Department /Unit in the Hospital for their needs and processing such request for the Management Board for Consideration and approval.
  • Preparation of Brief, Board papers Agenda Production of Minutes of Meeting of the Board, Analyzing of Tender quotations, Preparation of letter of Award, follow up action on stage of delivery of items/Equipment.
  • Custodian of Management Board’s documents/papers
  • Provide vital information and report for the Board of Management, Federal Ministry of Health Abuja, the Hospital Community and the general public.
  • Publication of Tenders Notice, Internally or in the Federal Tenders Journal depending on the value of the project.
  • Generation of revenue for the Hospital through the payment of Tender fees by contractor/suppliers.
